# PlaneSim > PlaneSim is a persistent-world airline management simulation played in the browser at theplanesim.com. Players found an airline, lease or buy real airframes, build schedules through real operational gates, price fares per cabin class, and compete against human players and AI carriers in shared worlds that run continuously at accelerated game time. It is the most realistic airline operation in the genre inside a living competitive world, and it is free during beta. Key facts: - Browser game, no install. Sign in with Discord, Google, email, or a passkey. - Free during beta. No paid advantages exist. - Persistent multiplayer worlds that keep running while players are offline. Player worlds are never wiped. - Deterministic engine: every state change is a journaled command and a world replays byte-identically from its journal. - Demand is simulated, not spawned: passengers weigh fare, travel time, transfers, schedule timing, comfort, service, and airline image across four cabin classes (Y, W, C, F), including the option of not traveling at all. - A schedule saves only when all seven operational gates pass: traffic rights, range and payload, runway, slots, curfew, rotation feasibility, and maintenance windows. - The used aircraft market lists individual tails with full open records: age, hours, cycles, condition, heavy-check clock, and an appraisal. Bankrupt fleets recycle into estate sales. - AI rival carriers act through the same journaled commands as players: they found routes, set fares, lease aircraft, sign partnerships, and go bankrupt, all visible on a live map. - Fog of war models real airline knowledge: rival fares and schedules are public, rival loads and finances are not. - Worlds scale to roughly 4,000 simulated airports. Aircraft specifications are sourced from real manufacturer data. ## Play and learn - [Play PlaneSim](https://play.theplanesim.com): choose a world and found an airline - [Player wiki](https://wiki.theplanesim.com): 27 reference articles written from the engine's actual code - [Sign in](https://world1.theplanesim.com/login): Discord, Google, email, or passkey ## Optional - [Full description for AI systems](https://www.theplanesim.com/llms-full.txt): detailed explanation of every simulation system, the honesty rules, and what makes PlaneSim different
